The joint objective of fully constructing the highway from Bar to Belgrade was emphasized today as a significant step towards enhancing economic cooperation and improving neighborly relations between Montenegro and Serbia. This was highlighted by Montenegro’s Minister of Transport, Maja Vukićević, and representatives from the Serbian company Putevi Srbije.
Today’s meeting, which involved Vukićević, Director of Putevi Srbije Zoran Drobnjak, and Assistant Director Miodrag Poledica, builds on the successful collaboration and outcomes of a previous discussion with Serbia’s Minister of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure, Goran Vesić.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged experiences and discussed challenges related to the implementation of infrastructure projects. It was agreed to accelerate efforts in the coming period to resolve technical issues, such as finalizing the route, establishing contact points, and coordinating a joint border crossing. The aim is to set the stage for the timely commencement of highway construction and to improve transportation links between the two nations.
