Tivat registered 4,468 tourists at the beginning of October, representing a 6% increase compared with the same period a year earlier as visitor activity continues beyond the traditional summer peak. Foreign visitors accounted for 4,404 guests, making up almost the entire registered tourist total. Private accommodation remained the dominant segment, with 3,494 tourists, while 974 visitors stayed in hotels.
The largest source markets were Russia and Serbia, followed by substantial numbers of tourists from Britain, Ukraine, the United States, Türkiye, Germany and Israel. The visitor figures reflect a tourism structure in Tivat that extends beyond conventional hotel demand during July and August. The municipality is increasingly supported by higher-end real estate, marinas, aviation connectivity and private accommodation, alongside its hotel sector.
A stronger shoulder season can increase annual occupancy and revenue for accommodation providers, restaurants, retailers and transport businesses while reducing reliance on the short summer peak. Tivat’s airport, marina infrastructure and concentration of premium residential and tourism projects support this pattern of visitor activity. Private accommodation continues to account for a substantial share of tourist demand, indicating that a significant portion of visitors remains outside the traditional hotel sector.
