Herceg Novi has been an interesting destination for guests from the region for decades. Nevertheless, the city of poets and mimosas attracts different types of guests this year, so there are more and more tourists from Western Europe. The director of the Tourist Organization of Herceg Novi, Milja Vitorović, said that they worked on the promotion of capacity towards Europe, which resulted in a greater number of visits.
– 21,500 guests stay in Herceg Novi, and the peak season is still expected. From the Mimosa holiday until today, the good trend of visits has continued. Compared to the previous year, the number of visits is even 20 to 30 percent higher. The structure of guests is diverse, visitors from the region dominate, but there are more and more visitors from Western Europe as well. Herceg Novi is also a city of festivals and numerous manifestations, which makes it interesting for all generations – said Vitorović.
For all guests, as well as locals, July brings numerous cultural and entertainment events. The Family Fun Fest promises entertainment for all generations, the Days of Music at the Kanli Kula Tower are preparing many surprises from July 10th, Portonovi will also be the site of numerous events, and film hits will alternate in Dvorana Park and literary programs in the House of Ivo Andrić.
