According to data from Monteput’s website, 454,690 vehicles have passed through the Princeza Ksenija Highway since the beginning of this year.
In the previous year, the highway recorded 2.87 million vehicles, compared to 2.29 million in 2023 and 1.14 million in 2022.
The priority section of the Bar–Boljare Highway was officially opened on July 13, 2022, and was made accessible to traffic the following day.
During the first seven days, toll fees were waived. Afterward, the toll rates were set at €1.5 for motorcycles, €3.5 for passenger vehicles, and €17 for trucks and buses.
The total length of the first section is 41.5 kilometers, featuring 20 bridges on the main route, nine bridges on interchange ramps, two overpasses, eight underpasses, 7.2 kilometers of concrete retaining walls, and 16 twin-tube tunnels.
This section includes four interchanges with toll booths connecting the highway to the existing road network: Smokovac, Pelev Brijeg, Veruša, and Mateševo.
The maximum speed limit on the highway is set at 100 kilometers per hour.
