Montenegro is hosting two regional events focused on digital policy, technology and finance, while a new credit rating has highlighted developments in the telecommunications sector. The WB6 Digital Summit is scheduled at Portonovi, with reported organisation costs of €420,000 and more than 150 participants expected to attend. Mtel is the event’s general sponsor.
The summit is intended to provide a platform for digital policy and regional cooperation. For participating businesses, potential commercial outcomes include procurement opportunities, partnerships and clearer routes to market.
INFINTECH 2026 is scheduled in Porto Montenegro and is expected to bring together more than 300 decision-makers from finance and related industries. The event brings banks, technology providers and other financial-services companies into the same business setting. Meetings can establish commercial contacts, while their broader effect depends on whether those contacts result in products and contracts. In telecommunications, Moody’s has assigned a Ba1 rating to 4iG Telecom, the regional group that includes One Montenegro. The rating applies to the named parent business and is not a separate rating assigned to the Montenegrin operator.
The events and the telecommunications rating place Montenegro within regional activity involving digital and financial businesses. The commercial results of the October events will be reflected in subsequent signed partnerships, deployed services and investment decisions, rather than attendance figures alone.
