Montenegro had approximately 212,600 fixed broadband connections at the end of June 2026, covering all access technologies, according to the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP). The number of connections increased by 0.5% from May and by 1.81% compared with June 2025.
Fibre-optic networks represented the largest access category, with approximately 116,130 FTTH/B connections. Cable distribution networks, including HFC or KDS systems, accounted for another 52,760 connections. VDSL services were used by around 27,450 subscribers, while approximately 13,950 connections operated through the older ADSL technology.
Wireless broadband delivered via Wi-Fi networks accounted for approximately 1,980 connections. A further 339 connections used other technologies, including satellite internet, MPLS services and leased lines. Fibre-optic connections therefore accounted for more than half of all registered fixed broadband connections in Montenegro at the end of June.
