Montenegro’s Minister of Transport Maja Vukićević and Director of the Transport Administration Radomir Vuksanović inspected the ongoing reconstruction of the Ribarevine–Poda–Berane road.
The project has entered its final phase, with asphalt works currently underway. Vukićević highlighted the technical complexity of carrying out construction under active traffic but emphasized that the completed route will provide a modern, safe, and more efficient transport corridor for both local and transit traffic.
Vuksanović noted that the entire 30-kilometer section is being reconstructed, making it the largest road infrastructure project in the country. Since early September, over 35,000 tons of asphalt have been laid, covering the full stretch from Berane to Ribarevine. The works are being carried out by a consortium of Strabag AG and Bemax doo.
The project is financed by the Transport Administration with support from the European Investment Bank.
