Montenegro is poised to enhance its industrial landscape with the establishment of its first high-tech factory dedicated to producing sustainable pallets. This facility will manufacture fully recyclable corrugated cardboard pallets, catering to modern logistics needs and supporting the principles of a circular economy. The project was formalized through an agreement between innovator Gregor Brajović and Sanja Milosavljević, founder of Impact Investments Group, which collaborates with ZeeQuest Holding, the European technology group behind the KraftPal concept.
This new factory will mark the seventh KraftPal facility globally, significantly advancing sustainable logistics production in the Western Balkans and positioning Montenegro within the European market for eco-friendly supply chain solutions. KraftPal pallets serve as an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional wooden pallets, addressing critical issues related to disposal, waste generation, and resource depletion associated with conventional timber products.
Construction of the facility is set to commence shortly, integrating high-tech manufacturing with circular economy principles and investment opportunities in both logistics and manufacturing sectors. The factory will utilize KraftPal’s automated production technologies to create pallets that are not only fully recyclable but also engineered for modern standards of strength and efficiency.
Proponents of the initiative emphasize its potential to foster a new industrial sector in Montenegro, generate employment opportunities, and minimize the environmental impact of regional supply chains. This development comes at a time when industries across Europe are increasingly seeking recyclable solutions to meet sustainability targets. The facility is expected to bolster domestic manufacturing capabilities while also opening avenues for export within the region.
The project aligns with Montenegro’s broader economic goals by promoting local industrial growth in conjunction with circular economy practices and enhancing the integration of sustainable technologies into its economic framework.
