Flydubai is connecting Dubai and Tivat again this year, and with its first flight this season, the company brought 160 passengers to Montenegro with its Boeing 737 Max, the Ministry of Economic Development and Tourism (MERT) announced. They will travel in Montenegro through organized package arrangements.
They were welcomed by the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Montenegro, Nabila Al Shamsi, and the general director of MERTA, Aleksandra Gardašević Slavuljica.
– This is a wonderful beginning of seasonal flights and proof that there is a strong friendship between our countries. Emiratis feel good in Montenegro, and this is a chance for our citizens to experience the experiences offered by the new destination, and for Montenegro to additionally strengthen its position on our market, which has great emission power and potential – said Al Shamsi.
She thanked the Government of Montenegro for its support regarding the visa policy.
– I am also grateful to the company Flydubai, which intensively promotes the wonderful Montenegrin tourism potential. It will be a wonderful summer and I hope that the cooperation will expand in the postseason period – she added.
Aleksandra Gardašević Slavuljica said that the mission of the Ministry of Economic Development and Tourism is to improve air connectivity and connect destinations.
– Montenegro is a leading aviation destination, which is the key to the further development of tourism. We put a lot of effort into the implementation of Flydubai flights. Our goal was not only to operationalize flights, but also to achieve a high level of capacity occupancy. The interest is huge, which is confirmed by four flights a week instead of the planned two. I am proud that we managed to raise this project to such a high level that guarantees success – stated Gardašević Slavuljica.
