Representatives of Montenegro’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management and the company “Tehnogradnja” have signed a contract to build the Agriculture House in Berane.
This strategic infrastructure project aims to strengthen agricultural development support in northern Montenegro, covering Berane, Andrijevica, Plav, Rožaje, and Gusinje.
The Agriculture House will employ 46 workers and feature 664 square meters of usable space and 23 parking spots on a 1,400 square meter plot. The €1.3 million investment is expected to be completed within one year.
The construction consortium includes Tehnogradnja and Cema, with supervision by Nik-Com Nikšić.
Minister Vladimir Joković highlighted Berane’s role as a key center for fruit and livestock production and noted that the facility will enhance access to expertise, EU funds, and market competitiveness.
The project is part of a broader strategy to establish regional offices aligned with Montenegro’s EU accession commitments, specifically Chapter 11 on agriculture and rural development.
Funded by the World Bank through the MIDAS 2 project, the Agriculture House aims to improve institutional coordination, accelerate service delivery, and empower local producers, promoting sustainable rural development.
