The President of the Žabljak Municipal Assembly, Ivan Popović, told ADRIA TV that Novak Djoković has serious intentions to invest in Žabljak, based on discussions held with the celebrated tennis player during his visit to the municipality.
“In direct talks, we concluded that Djokovic has such serious intentions, but certain ‘pieces’ at the state level also need to align. He is a serious person and wants the necessary business stability before making any investment,” Popović said.
When asked about Djokovic’s impressions of Žabljak, Popović noted that the tennis star wanted to experience everything firsthand.
“He visited the Sports Center, spoke with the director, and even played an exhibition match on courts completed earlier this year. He also explored our ethno villages and mountain hamlets and went horseback riding,” Popović explained.
According to Popović, Djoković is certain to return to Žabljak in the future.
