The Podgorica-based company TM Invest plans to build the Bogetići solar power plant in Nikšić with a total capacity of 67 MW.
This information is included in the environmental impact assessment submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency. The government issued urban-technical conditions for the project’s realization in March.
The solar plant will be constructed on multiple parcels covering over one million square meters in the cadastral municipalities of Bogetići and Povija, within the Nikšić municipality. The investor has acquired additional parcels that may be used for auxiliary facilities, although these will not host solar panels. There is also consideration to purchase six more parcels to consolidate the planned area.
A total of 103,116 solar panels will be installed, covering approximately 301,350 square meters. The plant will be divided into seven interconnected fields linked by internal roads.
The solar plant will have an installed capacity of 67 MW (AC) and 74.24 MWp (DC), with panels rated at 720 Wp each and 197 inverters planned.
For grid connection, technical analysis suggests the plant will most likely connect to the 110 kV or 220 kV transmission network level. Due to its proximity to the Perućica 220/110 kV substation, this is the preferred connection point, as it offers higher capacity and a reliable energy transfer compared to the distribution network.
The final connection solution will be coordinated and approved in agreement with the Montenegrin transmission system operator (CGES), with detailed terms defined in a contract with CGES.
