With the symbolic laying of the foundation stone on the Luštica peninsula, the construction of the first golf residences in Montenegro began. The first quarter, named Botanika, is located above the positions of the first two holes of the future golf course, includes seven villas, 12 town houses and 39 apartments and will welcome its first owners in 2024.
The foundation stone was laid by the President of the Government of Montenegro Dritan Abazović, the President of the Municipality of Tivat Željko Komnenović and the executive director of Luštica Development Mohamed AbouArab.
Botanika is the realization of the vision of The Peaks, which includes a golf course and residential collections. Around EUR 400 million will be invested in the phased construction of the first 18-hole golf course in Montenegro and the majority of golf residences over the next six years. The master plan foresees that in the next ten years, 130 villas, 520 apartments, a golf hotel with 300 keys and a golf club will be built on an area of about one million square meters of golf courses and settlements.
– I am glad that the tourist season in Montenegro is going very well. Projects like this significantly contribute to the “Montenegro 365” campaign, i.e. the extension of the tourist season. Luštica is recording excellent results this year, and I believe that content such as the golf course will contribute to the additional attractiveness of both Luštica Bay and the whole of Montenegro. With this project, golf fans around the world will have more reason to visit Montenegro – said the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazović.
