In the first 11 months of the year, Montenegro’s total revenue from gambling and lottery games reached €30.26 million, marking a 46.9% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the Gambling Authority.
Of the total revenue, €11.06 million was generated from online gambling and other telecommunications-based games. Additionally, revenue from casino games saw a significant rise of 96.06%, reaching €4.65 million. Revenue from sports betting amounted to €8.72 million, reflecting a 6.42% increase in this segment.
Moreover, revenue from slot machines and gaming clubs grew by 26.95%, reaching €5.76 million.
These results highlight the continuous positive performance of the Gambling Authority throughout the year, which has been further supported by the successful implementation of a new unified information system for supervising game operators.
The system, which was launched on November 1, significantly improved oversight in the gambling sector. It is expected to contribute to the fight against illegal gambling and strengthen the revenue collected by the state budget.
