Removing obstacles to connect new producers to the distribution grid is crucial for speeding up the energy transition, according to Zoran Miljanić, energy expert and member of EPCG’s Board of Directors.
Speaking at the closing panel of the EPCG NET 2025 symposium in Budva, Miljanić stressed the need for more efficient coordination among all stakeholders in the energy system.
Vladimir Ivanović, executive director of Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System (CEDIS), stated that the distribution network is under pressure due to growing connection requests and called for additional investment and regulatory support to maintain stability and reliability.
Božidar Pavlović, Director General for Energy Efficiency at the Ministry of Energy and Mining, emphasized the importance of such expert meetings in strengthening dialogue and exchanging experiences — especially when it comes to integrating prosumers and small producers into the energy system.
Other participants on the panel included Zvonimir Tadić (Energy Consulting PwC), Ljubiša Đurković (EPCG), and Lazar Komar (Greener).
EPCG concluded the symposium by stating that ongoing dialogue and collaboration are essential for developing a sustainable and reliable energy system.
