According to data from Monteput, 1.16 million vehicles have passed through Princess Ksenija Highway since the beginning of this year.
Last year, in 2024, a total of 2.87 million vehicles used the highway, while in 2023 there were 2.29 million and in 2022 1.14 million.
The priority section of the Bar-Boljare highway was officially opened on 13 July 2022 and opened to traffic the following day. Tolls were free for the first seven days. After that, the toll for motorbikes was set at €1.5, for passenger cars at €3.5, and for trucks and buses at €17.
The total length of the first section is 41.5 kilometres and it includes 20 bridges on the main route, nine bridges on ramps, two overpasses, eight underpasses, 7.2 kilometres of retaining walls, and 16 twin-tube tunnels.
The highway has four interchanges with toll stations — Smokovac, Pelev Brijeg, Veruša, and Mateševo — which connect it to the existing road network.
The maximum speed limit on the highway is 100 km/h.
