Prime Minister Milojko Spajić called on the parliament to pass the budget as soon as tomorrow.
“Parliamentarians who love the stage and blockades should be sent on a well-deserved break for a few days. We are for dialogue and compromise – but due to the expiration of Judge Đuranović’s mandate (who took a significant compensation), thousands of pensioners who can’t afford heating and food will be left stranded and can no longer wait for their mercy like a mirage,” Spajić wrote on social media platform X.
He added that former Constitutional Court judge, Dragana Đuranović, did not appeal to any court (domestic, Constitutional, or Strasbourg).
“The opposition Soviet Union refuses to consult the Venice Commission or any other EU/Council of Europe institution. Judge Đuranović took compensation after her mandate expired. The Judicial Council has followed this practice for years,” Spajić emphasized.
According to him, the procedure that was “violated” involves judges voting for the end of their mandates, which he called the biggest conflict of interest on the planet.
“We have shown full understanding and tried every possible way to reach a compromise, but it is clear that some are interested in halting pensions, investments, and the EU path. Such behavior cannot be tolerated,” Spajić concluded.
