Vina Plantaža achieved historic success at the prestigious Mundus Vini Spring Tasting 2025, winning a total of seven gold medals, including two Grand Gold Medals and the prestigious “Best of Show – Montenegro” award.
This achievement further solidifies Plantaže’s position as a leader in the regional wine industry and highlights the exceptional quality of Montenegrin Vranac on the global stage.
The Grand Gold Medals were awarded to Grand Reserva, an exclusive archival wine showcasing the elegance and potential of Montenegrin terroir, and Crnogorski Premijer, which also won the “Best of Show – Montenegro” title, officially recognizing it as the best Montenegrin wine at the competition.
Other gold medals were awarded to Nota (premium white wine) and Epoha, Vladika, Vranac Barrique and Vranac Pro Corde (premium red wines).
The Mundus Vini Spring Tasting, held in Neustadt, Germany, saw over 250 wine experts from 55 countries judging wines from 45 nations.
In such a prestigious competition, this result attests to the exceptional quality of Plantaže’s wines. Notably, Plantaže was one of only two wineries from the former Yugoslavia region to win Grand Gold Medals and reach this level of recognition.
Both Grand Gold Medals were awarded to wines made from the indigenous Vranac grape, further emphasizing its superiority on the international stage.
This historic recognition for Vranac confirms Plantaže’s dedication to producing wines of the highest quality. International experts have recognized and validated the outstanding potential of Vranac, the heart of Montenegrin viticulture.
