Montenegro’s wine producer Plantaže reported a €2.21 million loss in the first quarter of 2025, marking a 73% increase compared to the same period last year. This comes despite ending 2024 with a profit of €1.04 million and achieving its highest revenue in a decade—€34.9 million, up 7% year-over-year.
At the annual shareholder meeting on June 30, the company approved 2024 financial reports and the auditor’s positive opinion, confirming regulatory compliance and transparency.
Key achievements last year included increased domestic and international sales, over €3 million in investments in vineyards, infrastructure, and equipment, and a rise in EBITDA to €5.4 million. Bank liabilities were reduced by €3.6 million, and total obligations have dropped by over €4 million in the past two years.
Despite inflation and labor cost increases, the company managed to keep operational expenses stable. CEO Igor Čađenović emphasized the company’s focus on improving production and sales efficiency while maintaining quality. Chairman Nikola Tripković reaffirmed the company’s commitment to preserving Plantaže as a strategic national asset and major Montenegrin brand.
The shareholder assembly also appointed Cattaro Audit d.o.o. as the independent auditor for 2025.
