Since the beginning of this year, 791,590 vehicles have traveled on the Princess Ksenija highway, according to data from Monteput. In 2023, the highway saw 2.87 million vehicles, and in 2022, 1.14 million.
The priority section of the Bar-Boljare highway was officially opened on July 13, 2022, and traffic started the next day. For the first seven days, the toll was free. Afterward, the toll rates were 1.5 EUR for motorcycles, 3.5 EUR for passenger cars, and 17 EUR for trucks and buses.
The total length of the first section is 41.5 kilometers, with 20 bridges, nine bridges at interchanges, two overpasses, eight underpasses, 7.2 kilometers of concrete walls, and 16 twin tunnels. The section includes four interchanges with toll booths, connecting the highway to the existing roads: Smokovac, Pelev Brijeg, Veruša, and Mateševo. The maximum speed limit is 100 km/h.
