Since the beginning of this year, 688,430 vehicles have used the Princess Ksenija Highway, according to data published on the Monteput website.
In 2023, the highway saw 2.87 million vehicles, up from 2.29 million in 2022, and 1.14 million in its opening year, 2022.
The priority section of the Bar–Boljare highway was officially opened on July 13, 2022, and opened to traffic the following day.
Toll fees were waived during the first seven days of operation. After that, the toll was set at €1.50 for motorcycles, €3.50 for passenger vehicles, and €17 for trucks and buses.
The total length of this initial highway section is 41.5 kilometers and includes 20 bridges along the main route, nine bridges on interchange ramps, two overpasses, eight underpasses, 7.2 kilometers of concrete walls, and 16 twin-tube tunnels.
There are four interchanges with toll stations connecting the highway to the existing road network: Smokovac, Pelev Brijeg, Veruša and Mateševo.
The speed limit on the highway is capped at 100 kilometers per hour.
