Works on the Kotor – Lovćen cable car are proceeding as planned and the opening should be at the beginning of the summer season, more precisely, at the end of May or the beginning of June 2023.
This was announced during a tour of the works on the implementation of this project.
As stated by the Government, Prime Minister Dritan Abazović visited Lovćen where he got acquainted with the work on the construction of the cable car, together with the director of the National Parks of Montenegro Vladimir Martinović, the director of the Directorate for Capital Projects Esmin Bećović, as well as representatives of investors.
The Prime Minister pointed out that it is a spectacular infrastructural facility.
– Whoever climbs this place once and sees a beautiful view of this heavenly land will never forget Montenegro in his life. I am sure that this infrastructure project is the most significant in the history of Montenegro when it comes to its recognition – emphasized the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister Is familiar with the dynamics of the works, which are proceeding as planned, which should result in the opening of the cable car at the beginning of the summer tourist season, at the end of May or the beginning of June.
– Montenegro will welcome the summer tourist season in 2023 with a new content that will dominantly change the tourist perception of us in the world – emphasized Abazović, emphasizing that this is a big deal for Kotor, Cetinje and Ivanova Korita and that he hopes for more visits to the Mausoleum and Lovćen National Park.
During the visit, Abazović was informed of the fact that, in addition to the planned catering facilities, an amphitheater for cultural and artistic events, such as a bobsled and sledding track, will be built at the Kuk location on Lovćen.
– Montenegro is a divine country. I believe that everyone who comes here will further confirm this and that this beautiful view will open some horizons for us to work on similar development projects in other parts of Montenegro – concluded Abazović.
Let us remind you that the construction of the cable car started in July of this year, and the works were entrusted to a consortium of companies Novi Volvox and Leitner, local media reports.
