At the Regional Business Forum 2025 in Bijelo Polje, Minister of Regional-Investment Development and Cooperation with NGOs, Ernad Suljević, declared that the north of Montenegro is not a neglected region but a national priority and key driver of the country’s future growth.
He stressed that development of the north is a national imperative, highlighting investments in infrastructure, support for small businesses, and stronger cooperation with private and civil sectors as the main pillars for sustainable growth.
The forum, opened by Bijelo Polje mayor Petar Smolović, gathered government officials, diplomats, international organizations, business leaders, and civil society representatives, including the Austrian ambassador, the EU Delegation, the Chamber of Commerce, UNDP, and the UN mission in Montenegro.
Organizers concluded that the event serves as a vital platform to attract investments, strengthen SMEs, and involve local communities and entrepreneurs in boosting the region’s economic and social development.
