Monteput d.o.o. and the Safege consortium—which includes SAFEGE d.o.o. Belgrade, SUEZ Consulting from France, and SBCC d.o.o. Cetinje—have signed a €2.4 million contract to provide consultancy services for the design and construction of the second section of the Bar-Boljare highway, from Mateševo to Andrijevica.
The consultants will support Monteput’s Business Unit responsible for implementing this strategically important infrastructure project. Their services include preparing and reviewing tender documents, assisting with public procurement procedures (prequalification and bid evaluation), advising on contract monitoring and dispute resolution, and ensuring compliance with the highest international environmental and social standards.
The consortium was selected through a tender launched on July 30, 2024, aligned with the procurement rules and policies of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Engaging these experts ensures the application of international standards and best practices in project management, promoting transparency, efficiency, and adherence to EBRD requirements.
Additionally, on July 9, the EBRD Board officially approved a €200 million favorable loan for the construction of this highway section, marking the successful outcome of coordinated efforts by Monteput and the Government of Montenegro to meet EBRD conditions.
