Retail trade turnover in Montenegro increased by 6.8% in current prices and 2.4% in constant prices in the third quarter of this year compared to the same period in 2024, according to data released by Monstat.
Compared to the second quarter of 2025, retail trade turnover rose by 19.9% in current prices and 18.6% in constant prices.
Statistical data show that retail sales of motor fuels in the third quarter were 1.6% lower year-on-year but increased by 25.4% compared to the previous quarter.
Retail turnover in food products was 6.6% higher compared to the same period last year and 24.7% higher than in the second quarter of 2025.
Sales of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products rose by 7% year-on-year and 9.5% quarter-on-quarter, while turnover of other non-food products increased by 8.2% compared to the third quarter of 2024 and by 15.9% compared to the previous quarter, Monstat reported.
