Since the beginning of this year, 1.81 million vehicles have passed through the Princess Ksenija Highway, according to data from the Monteput website.
In comparison, 2.87 million vehicles used the highway in 2024, 2.29 million in 2023, and 1.14 million in 2022.
The priority section of the Bar–Boljare highway was officially inaugurated on July 13, 2022, and opened for traffic the following day.
Tolls were free during the first seven days. After that, the fees were set at €1.50 for motorcycles, €3.50 for passenger cars, and €17 for trucks and buses.
The total length of the first section is 41.5 kilometers and includes 20 bridges on the main route, nine ramp bridges at interchanges, two overpasses, eight underpasses, 7.2 kilometers of concrete retaining walls, and 16 twin-tube tunnels.
This section features four interchanges with toll booths that connect the highway to the existing road network: Smokovac, Pelev Brijeg, Veruša, and Mateševo.
The speed limit along the highway is set at 100 kilometers per hour.
