As of the end of January, Montenegro had 1.38 million mobile phone users, which represents a 2.26% decrease compared to December.
According to the report by the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP), the number of users in January corresponds to a penetration rate of 221.84%.
Compared to the same period last year, the number of users increased by 5.84%.
The share of postpaid users was 59.3%, while prepaid users accounted for 40.7%.
Among all users, M:tel had the largest share with 573.9 thousand users, or 41.48%, followed by Crnogorski Telekom with 477.21 thousand users, or 34.49%, and One with 332.34 thousand users, or 24.02%.
M:tel accounted for 49.6% of the total prepaid users, Crnogorski Telekom had 26.98%, and One had 23.42%.
In terms of postpaid users, Crnogorski Telekom had 39.65%, M:tel had 35.91% and One had 24.44%.
