Montenegro’s primary electricity production last year amounted to 2.1 thousand gigawatt-hours (GWh), with an additional 1.43 thousand GWh generated from transformations, according to preliminary data from Monstat.
Statistics also show that electricity imports reached 5.95 thousand GWh, while exports totaled 6.1 thousand GWh.
The energy sector’s consumption was 104.7 GWh, and transmission and distribution losses amounted to 471.1 GWh.
The total available electricity for final consumption last year was 2.8 thousand GWh.
The largest electricity consumption was recorded in the household sector, accounting for 55.3%, followed by the commercial sector and public services at 38.5%, industry activities at 5.4%, and other activities at 0.9%.
