Bojana Ćirović, the Protector of Property-Legal Interests, warned that if the current Agreement with the United Arab Emirates is adopted in its present form, lawmakers would enable the disposal of state property outside established legal procedures.
According to Ćirović, this could lead to criminal and other liabilities.
She reminded that Montenegro has clear legal procedures for leasing and selling state assets, governed by the Law on State Property and related regulations.
Any disposal of state property outside these legal frameworks is unlawful and subject to criminal and other responsibility, she explained.
