Montenegro’s Yacht Registry has grown to 576 vessels, with Serbian individuals and companies accounting for the largest share of registered yachts, according to the latest data from the Maritime Safety Administration. The registry has added 40 vessels since May, representing a 7.5% increase over three months. Compared with the end of 2025, when 525 yachts were recorded, the total is now 51 vessels higher, an increase of 9.7%.
Serbian ownership has recorded the strongest increase. The number of yachts registered to Serbian individuals or companies rose from 165 to 193, giving them a 33.5% share of the total registry. Russian owners remain the second-largest group, with 112 yachts, five fewer than in May. Montenegro-based individuals and companies account for 79 vessels.
Together, Serbian and Russian owners have 305 yachts, representing almost 53% of all vessels listed in the registry. The registry also records 27 yachts belonging to owners from the United States, while Ukrainian owners account for 21 vessels. Owners from Bosnia and Herzegovina have 18 yachts, followed by Israel with 11 and Germany with 10.
Switzerland and Estonia each account for nine yachts, while owners from the United Kingdom have eight vessels registered in Montenegro. Foreign ownership accounts for the overwhelming majority of the registry. Of the 576 yachts currently listed, 497 are owned by individuals or companies from outside Montenegro. Yachts owned by Montenegrin individuals or companies therefore represent 13.7% of the total registry.
