The tourist offer of the Budva Riviera was presented at the International Tourism Fair (IMTM) in Tel Aviv.
The Budva Tourism Organization (TOB) announced that it was a fair that gathered around 1.7 thousand exhibitors from 52 countries and around 26 thousand visitors. The honorary consul of Montenegro in Israel, Nimroda Rinota, said that even better attendance is expected compared to the previous period, when a record number of tourists from this market was recorded.
“This is expected thanks to the good air connectivity of the two countries and the fact that three airlines have charter flights on the Israel-Montenegro route, namely Air Montenegro, Israir and Sun d’Or. Starting this year, up to ten weekly flights from Podgorica and Tivat, from April to October, are being announced,” Rinota said.
During the discussions between representatives of the Budva tourism industry and TOB with tour operators and potential guests, more information was obtained about the habits of tourists from Israel.
“In general, high-paying guests are interested in travel, with an interest in high-category hotels. About 60 percent of Israelis travel once a year, and 35 percent of them more than once. Guests from that climate are turning more and more to nature, through hiking, cycling, mountaineering, excursions and the like, so that in addition to the sea and beaches, their interest is also focused on the offer of active tourism”, the announcement states.
Guests from Israel are familiar with the tourist offer of Montenegro, which they perceive as a small but very interesting country for tourism, with beautiful nature and hospitable people. Representatives of the Budva economy emphasized the importance of the introduction of direct airlines with Israel, satisfaction with the participation in the fair and the possibility of presenting the offer on such an important market with great expectations in terms of greater attendance of tourists from that market.
The tourism offer of Montenegro in Israel was presented by the representatives of the National Tourism Organization (NTO) with strategic partners Air Montenegro, Hotel Group (HG) Budvanska Riviera and the travel agency Gold Travel, then to the local tourist organizations of Budva, Podgorica, Herceg Novi, Kotor and Tivat, HG Montenegro Stars, hotels Regent, Maestral resort&casino and SOA, as well as travel agencies Talas Montenegro DMC and Explorer D.
