More than 200,000 tourists from Israel are expected to visit Montenegro this year, announced Nimrod Rinot, the honorary Montenegrin consul in Israel.
According to the Jewish Community in Montenegro, Israel has the highest number of direct tourist flights to Montenegro, and Israeli tourists rank second in total arrivals after Serbian visitors.
On May 18th alone, seven direct flights from Israel landed at Tivat Airport, despite it being outside the peak season.
Rinot emphasized that the number of Israeli investors in Montenegro will also significantly increase, highlighting the country’s commitment to strengthening tourism, a key source of Montenegro’s economic revenue.
The Jewish Community expressed pride in the growing number of Israeli tourists visiting Montenegro. Chief Rabbi Ari Edelkopf praised Montenegro as a beautiful country and excellent host for Israeli visitors.
