Montenegro will soon issue a tender for the construction of a 9.3-kilometer bypass around Budva, following the approval of amendments to Monteput’s 2025 financial plan. The project is estimated at 237 million euros.
The bypass aims to reduce congestion on existing roads, improve safety, enhance residents’ quality of life, and strengthen the region’s tourist appeal. The Ministry of Transport will coordinate the project with Monteput and other relevant institutions to ensure timely implementation.
Under the revised financial plan, funds from the 2025 capital budget have been allocated for this and other major road projects, including sections of the Bar–Boljare highway and the Adriatic–Ionian motorway. Monteput will oversee project implementation in accordance with the law.
The capital budget for 2025 remains at 100.016 million euros, as previously approved by the government.
