The National Tourism Organization (NTO), together with local tourist organizations (LTO), successfully presented Montenegro’s offerings at the prestigious Travel Expo in Oslo.
The fair attracted over 150 exhibitors from all continents, and during its three-day duration, it recorded more than 7,000 visitors.
“The Tourism Organization of Herceg Novi organized Montenegro’s participation at the fair, and the Montenegrin stand attracted significant attention from both potential tourists and professionals in the tourism sector, confirming the great interest in our country’s diverse tourism offerings,” said the NTO in a statement.
According to the NTO, visitors to the fair showed strong interest in Montenegro.
“I am so excited to be at the Montenegro stand, a country with so many natural beauties and a fascinating culture. I’ve heard experiences from my friends who say that every moment spent there is unforgettable. I can’t wait to experience it myself and look forward to learning more about what this destination has to offer,” said one of the visitors at the stand.
Montenegro also achieved notable results by participating in the business B2B workshop, Travel Match, which gathered 170 exhibitors and over 200 media representatives, travel agencies, and tour operators from around the world.
Montenegro’s representatives held more than 40 meetings, establishing important contacts for future cooperation in the Scandinavian market.
“During our meetings, we realized how attractive Montenegro is as a destination for our clients. We are already considering adding this destination to our offer because we believe our clients will be thrilled,” said Magnus Oren, a representative of the tour operator NyeReiselivsavisen.
According to LTO representatives, Norway is an important market for Montenegro, making participation in the Travel Expo fair a key part of the communication strategy for this market.
Dalibor Vuković, a representative of LTO Herceg Novi, stated that in addition to their fair participation, they complemented their visit to Oslo by attending the B2B workshop that preceded the fair, where they established valuable contacts for ongoing activities in the Scandinavian market.
“It is very important to establish continuity in promotional activities, which will ultimately lead to increased demand and, in the future, contribute to the consideration of introducing more flights from the Scandinavian market,” Vuković said.
The fair was also attended by NTO’s strategic partner, the Budvanska Rivijera hotel group, as well as LTOs of Tivat and Podgorica, Hotel Avala, and travel agencies Montenegro Adventure and Pellegrino Travel.
