Currently, around 27,300 tourists are staying in Montenegro, according to the latest data from the National Tourism Organization (NTO).
Milena Vujović, a representative of NTO, stated on the “Bojama Jutra” show on Television Vijesti that this is 90.5% of the number of tourists compared to the same period last year, and there has been a 73% increase compared to 2019.
The largest number of visitors are staying in Budva, followed by Herceg Novi, Bar, Kotor, and Podgorica, as reported by the news portal Vijesti.
In terms of country structure, tourists from the region dominate, with notable numbers also coming from the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Turkey, Israel, and China.
NTO also shared that the forecasts for the summer season are encouraging.
“Based on a survey we conducted with the tourism industry, 92.8% of respondents rated the expectations for this season as high, while only 7.2% stated they were not satisfied with the current projections. The majority of arrivals are expected from the region, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, as well as from markets in Turkey, China, Israel, Poland, and the Baltic countries,” said Vujović.
