In January, Montenegro recorded 34,770 arrivals and 73,867 overnight stays in collective accommodation, according to preliminary data from Monstat.
Of the total number of overnight stays in collective accommodation, 74.8% were by foreign tourists, while 25.2% were by domestic tourists.
In terms of overnight stays by type of tourist destinations, the highest number was recorded in coastal areas with 51.7%, followed by the capital city with 21.2%, mountain resorts with 20.2%, and other locations with 6.9%, Monstat reported.
As explained, collective accommodation includes hotels, guesthouses, motels, tourist resorts, holiday homes, hostels, campsites and similar facilities. However, it does not include individual or “private accommodation,” such as rentals in houses, rooms or tourist apartments.
