In September, collective accommodation facilities in Montenegro recorded 189,450 tourist arrivals and 687,020 overnight stays, according to preliminary data from the Statistical Office (Monstat).
Foreign tourists accounted for 91.5% of all overnight stays, while domestic tourists made up the remaining 8.5%, the report stated.
By type of tourist destination, coastal areas dominated with 89.7% of total overnight stays, followed by the capital city with 5.6%, mountain resorts with 2.9%, and other areas with 1.8%, Monstat reported, citing the Mina news agency.
Collective accommodation includes hotels, motels, guesthouses, resorts, tourist settlements, hostels, and campsites. The data exclude private accommodation such as rooms, houses, and apartments rented to tourists.
