Liquid assets of banks in September amounted to 1.93 billion EUR, which is 3.2 percent more than in August.

Liquidity coefficients for the banking system as a whole were above the prescribed minimums, on a daily and decadal level.
The balance sheet total of banks at the end of September amounted to 6.1 billion EUR and recorded an increase of 1.38 percent compared to August, while at the annual level it strengthened by 18.32 percent.
In the structure of banks’ assets, in September the dominant share of 60.09 percent was achieved by total loans, followed by cash and deposit accounts with central banks with 26.38 percent, securities with 12.57 percent, while 0.96 percent related to the remaining assets.
In the structure of liabilities, the dominant share of 81.38 percent was achieved by deposits, followed by capital with 10.05 percent, loans with 5.5 percent, while other items accounted for 3.07 percent of total liabilities.
The total capital of banks at the end of September amounted to 613.2 million EUR and recorded an increase of 0.47 percent on a monthly basis, and a decrease of 2.46 percent on an annual basis, local media writes.
