Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajić met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi, reaffirming the commitment of both countries to strengthen bilateral relations through concrete projects in tourism, energy, infrastructure, and advanced technologies.
During the visit, Montenegro and the UAE signed an Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Energy, establishing a strategic partnership aimed at developing renewable energy sources, modern energy infrastructure, and advanced technologies.
Spajić stated that the agreement will attract new investments and give fresh momentum to Montenegro’s energy sector, benefiting from the expertise of leading global companies. Sheikh Mohamed praised Montenegro’s progress, its reform agenda, and efforts to create a favorable business climate.
Both sides agreed that small countries like Montenegro can move faster toward sustainable development and that Montenegro could become a regional model of growth and stability.
The meeting also covered regional cooperation, highlighting Montenegro’s potential to serve as a strategic link in the wider region. Spajić was accompanied by several government officials, including ministers of energy and public works and senior advisers.
