Employees at Montenegro’s airports are working as if the planned concessions will never happen, said Roko Tolić, Executive Director of Airports of Montenegro (ACG). He added that this year they expect a record three million passengers.
Tolić emphasized that the company is focused and highly motivated to achieve the best business results, and so far they are on track, surpassing last year’s record in the first five months. Montenegro has never had more passengers in aviation than last year, and this year they aim to reach three million passengers for the first time.
He stressed that the strong commitment of employees, who are considered the company’s most valuable resource, is key to their success. At the same time, ACG operates as if the concessions will never be granted, but remains ready to accept any well-argued plans for rapid development of airport infrastructure to improve passenger experience.
Tolić also welcomed messages from their unions, expressing hope that the government will engage in serious and transparent dialogue with all stakeholders to make decisions that satisfy the country, citizens, and employees.
During a visit to Tivat Airport, Tolić announced the arrival of a new firefighting vehicle worth over one million euros, enhancing safety for all airport operations. He congratulated Tivat Airport staff for receiving an award from easyJet, which recognized Tivat Airport for the greatest improvement in ground handling services among airports outside the UK, comparing May this year to May last year.
Earlier this year, Turkish Airlines named Podgorica Airport’s operations the best in its southern Europe network.
