As a result of a study visit by German journalist Heinrich Angels, organized by the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro in April this year, a feature titled “A Natural Spectacle on the Adriatic” was published in the July/August issue of the prestigious German magazine ADAC Reisemagazin. Montenegro is presented across nine pages and is also featured on the magazine’s cover, according to the NTO.
The journalist was impressed by the diversity of Montenegro’s landscapes, noting that the country, despite its small size, offers a remarkably rich variety of natural and tourist experiences.
He writes that Montenegro is no larger than Schleswig-Holstein, yet along with a stunning coastline featuring long beaches and romantic coves, it also offers high mountains, dramatic canyons, and impressive national parks. He adds that it is no surprise tourism in the country is rapidly growing.
The article highlights natural attractions such as Durmitor National Park and the Black Lake, the ancient forests of Biogradska Gora, the expansive Skadar Lake, the picturesque Ulcinj coastline, and the historic town of Kotor.
Montenegro’s compact size is emphasized as a key advantage, making it a convenient destination for travelers.
The article notes that a beach holiday can easily be combined with day trips to mountainous areas, since nearly every corner of the country is accessible by car within one or two hours.
