The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Montenegro (PKCG) participated in the Belgrade Construction Fair, one of the largest events of its kind in the region, where it showcased the latest projects, innovations, and investment opportunities in Montenegro’s construction sector.
“This move is part of the Chamber’s strategic initiative to enhance cooperation with businesses in the region, expand the market for Montenegrin construction firms, and attract foreign investors,” the Chamber stated in a press release.
The fair, held annually, gathers leading experts, investors, and representatives from the construction industry, providing an ideal platform for networking and sharing experiences.
Aleksandra Pešić, Marketing and Sales Manager at Port of Adria, emphasized the importance of this fair for their business development. She mentioned that their port collaborates daily with partners from Serbia and the wider region.
“These events are very important. For many years now, together with PKCG, we have been participating in this fair and having our own booth. We organize meetings with existing partners, and through visits and discussions, we create new contacts that are vital for our continued business. This is a place to meet and establish business collaborations, in line with our activities,” Pešić said.
Goran Moračanin, the owner of Forestino Montenegro, a company specializing in the production of umbrellas and pergolas, highlighted the significance of the Belgrade Fair and the Serbian market for the growth of his business. This is his second time attending the fair.
“It’s hard to precisely measure the results of such a promotion. However, the growth of our company clearly shows that we should participate more often in fair events. Our focus markets are Serbia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our products fall into the luxury category, but I believe there are companies and individuals in these regional markets looking for higher-quality equipment for their spaces. That’s why we are here today,” Moračanin stated.
Space Ing, a consulting and project documentation company from Podgorica, also participated in the fair. Jovana Tešović, a representative of the company, shared that this was their first participation and expressed gratitude to the organizers for the opportunity.
“We have the chance to meet a large number of company representatives and establish contacts that, I hope, will lead to good collaborations. We are working to improve our business, and such regional gatherings significantly help us in this effort,” Tešović said.
Also present at the Montenegrin exhibitors’ booth was Maljat Stone, a company specializing in marble processing. According to their representative, Aleksandar Bojović, the company mines and distributes Maljat stone from quarries in Danilovgrad and celebrated its 60th anniversary last year.
“We’ve been attending this fair for four years. We meet new clients not only from Serbia but from across Europe, as companies from all over the continent are here,” Bojović stated.
The participation of Montenegrin companies in the Belgrade Construction Fair demonstrated that Montenegro’s construction sector has the potential for regional expansion and that there is a strong willingness to establish and strengthen business connections.
