Restaurants and beach bars along the Montenegrin coast are experiencing strong tourist attendance, according to local hospitality operators interviewed by the media agency Media Biro.
Ilija Rafailović, owner of the restaurant Tri Ribara, highlighted the high interest in Rafailovići, a popular fishing village in the Budva municipality. He described May and June as excellent months and expects the season to improve further. Guests come from around the world, including South Korea, Canada, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Israel, and neighboring countries such as Serbia and Bosnia.
In Budva’s Old Town, restaurants are also seeing increased visitors. Hospitality worker Igor Kažanegra reported a 40% growth in the pre-season compared to last year, with many guests from Western Europe, including Spain, Italy, France, and Germany, praising the quality of service and food.
Mirko Striković, owner of the Golden Bay beach bar in Herceg Novi, noted that their season started earlier than usual. Most guests are from the Balkans—Serbia, Republika Srpska, and Bosnia—with a growing number of international visitors. About 90% of their guests return annually due to satisfaction with the service.
Tourists from various countries shared positive impressions of their stay. Saša from the United States, visiting Montenegro for the first time, praised the hospitality, outdoor activities, and natural beauty.
A tourist from Armenia also expressed admiration, describing Montenegro as wonderful and mentioning plans to visit Budva’s Old Town, Tivat, and Sveti Stefan.
