The total customs revenue collected from January to April amounted to 406.31 million EUR, which is 28.32 million EUR or 7.49% more compared to the same period last year.
The Customs Administration announced that the revenue collection plan was exceeded by 15.17 million EUR or 3.88%.
From January to April, the Customs Administration achieved a significant increase in customs revenue collection, contributing to the overall growth of the state budget.
“Regarding the structure of collected revenue, Value Added Tax (VAT) on imports amounted to 272.91 million EUR, which is an increase of 16.45 million EUR or 6.41% compared to last year,” the statement said.
The Customs Administration also reported that excise duties amounted to 111.8 million EUR, an increase of 8.66 million EUR or 8.4% compared to the previous year.
“Customs duty collection amounted to 20.67 million EUR, which is an increase of 3.12 million EUR or 17.81%. Revenue from coffee taxes was 840,150 EUR, and other revenues were collected in the amount of 97,210 EUR,” the Customs Administration added.
The total customs revenue for April amounted to 124.67 million EUR, which is an increase of 3.72 million EUR or 3.08% compared to the previous year.
“Regarding the structure of collected revenue, VAT on imports amounted to 81.74 million EUR, which is 2.44 million EUR or 2.9% less compared to last year. Excise duties amounted to 36.5 million EUR, an increase of 5.7 million EUR or 18.49% compared to the previous year,” the statement noted.
The Customs Administration reported that customs duty collection for April amounted to 6.2 million EUR, an increase of 459,090 EUR or 7.99%, while coffee tax revenue amounted to 223,240 EUR, and other revenues were collected in the amount of 11,280 EUR.
