Montenegro’s Minister of Energy, Saša Mujović, is currently visiting Washington, where he expressed satisfaction with the signed Memorandum of Economic Cooperation between Montenegro and the United States. He highlighted significant interest from American investors in investing in Montenegro, particularly in the energy sector.
“This collaboration is encouraging, especially concerning renewable energy sources,” Mujović stated. He added that during meetings with American business leaders and government officials, key issues and models for the future development of the energy sector were identified.
The minister emphasized the importance of investing in renewable sources, strengthening the transmission and distribution networks, and implementing smart solutions and battery storage systems for electricity.
“Our efforts have encountered open arms and great interest from American investors, which will attract other companies from around the world. This trend will intensify competition in the market and create optimal conditions for the swift realization of capital projects in energy in Montenegro,” Mujović said.
It’s worth noting that the cooperation memorandum was signed on Monday in Washington, laying the groundwork for strengthening economic cooperation between Montenegro and the U.S.
