The company BSD Mont from Podgorica is planning to build the Ćosovica Energy Park in Rožaje, which will consist of eight solar power plants and five wind turbines. The total capacity of the energy facility will be 84 MW.
This is outlined in the proposal for urban and technical conditions that was recently approved by the Government at its latest session.
The energy park will be constructed on multiple plots of land in the cadastral municipality of Gornja Lovnica in Rožaje, all of which are owned by BSD Mont.
It’s worth noting that the company also plans to develop the Vuča solar park in Rožaje, which will consist of three solar power plants with a total installed capacity of 123.6 MW, covering an area of approximately 194 hectares.
Earlier in 2023, it was announced that BSD Mont had purchased part of the land from the former Agrobiser company, which operated in the Rožaje area. According to plans, in collaboration with business partners from Hungary, BSD Mont will develop both a solar and wind park at the Vuča location, as well as invest in livestock farming, agriculture, and plant production. The value of the project is estimated at over €200 million, and if realized, it is expected to create at least 50 new jobs.
