Banks’ liquid assets in April amounted to EUR 1.68 billion, which is 0.11% less than in March.
Compared to the same month last year, banks’ liquid assets in April were 13.67% higher.
Liquidity coefficients for the banking system as a whole were above the prescribed minimums, on a daily and decadal level.
The balance sheet total of banks at the end of April was EUR 6.43 billion and recorded a growth of 0.72% compared to March, while it grew by 15.82% year-on-year.
In the structure of banks’ assets, in April the dominant share of 60.76% was achieved by total loans, followed by cash and deposit accounts with central banks with 21.16%, securities with 17%, while 1.08% related to to the remaining asset items.
In the structure of liabilities, the dominant share of 81.08% was achieved by deposits, followed by capital with 11.38%, loans with 4.46%, while other items accounted for 3.08% of total liabilities.
The total capital of banks at the end of April amounted to EUR 731.97 million, and on a monthly and annual basis, it recorded a growth of 2.31% and 22.52%, respectively.
