The average electricity bill for households in Montenegro in April was €32.15, excluding metering points in buildings that are not permanently inhabited, according to the Electric Power Company (EPCG).
Households in Žabljak recorded the lowest average consumption, amounting to €20.38, while Tivat had the highest average consumption, with households spending €39.44 on electricity during the month.
According to EPCG, 63.17% of households received a bill of up to €30, 17.31% received a bill between €30 and €50, 15.51% received a bill between €50 and €100, and 4.02% of customers had a bill exceeding €100.
Additionally, 191,690 households, or 47.79% of consumers, benefited from a discount. The company also mentioned that all households connected to the EPCG distribution network received an additional 6.4% discount on network services, regardless of their debt, in an effort to offset the recent price increase for network services.
In terms of consumption, households used a total of 117.58 million kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity in April. This is 16.02% less than in March but 14.94% more than in April of the previous year.
