In the coming days, an increased flow of passengers can be expected in the terminal building, Airports of Montenegro announced. As they explain, during the following days, certain airlines changed their flight schedule and announced traffic in times that are already occupied at Podgorica Airport.
– Despite the fact that we have informed them that the capacities are booked, we will still meet everyone as much as possible, which is why it is certain that an increased flow of passengers in the terminal building can be expected in the coming days – the announcement states.
The airports of Montenegro remind that it is also possible for some flights from Tivat to be diverted to Podgorica, which happened, for example. on Sunday, July 2nd, which can also cause additional congestion in the terminal building of Podgorica Airport.
– In spite of everything, we remind you that every flight last Sunday was carried out smoothly thanks to the efforts of the Podgorica Airport employees to serve all passengers and planes in extraordinary circumstances. We will do that on every future occasion when it is possible – they say.
Montenegro’s airports have already served the millionth passenger this year, a month earlier than in 2022. During the first half of 2023, Podgorica Airport served about 30 percent more passengers compared to the record year 2019.
