The port city of Bar concluded a record-breaking cruise season on Friday with the arrival of the mega cruise ship Sun Princess, operated by the US company Princess Cruises.
The 2025 cruise season began on April 22 and marked an all-time high in the number of tourists visiting Bar for a single day. Over the six-month period, around 90,000 tourists from North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia arrived in the coastal city, according to Primorski Portal.
The Sun Princess, which also opened the cruise season in April, made its final call to Bar this week, closing a successful year for the port.
From April to the end of October, more than 20 cruise ships, including several mega liners, docked at Bar’s port, highlighting its growing importance as a cruise destination on the Adriatic.
